Single-Storey Contemporary Bungalow

A single-storey residence at 12.655 × 11.95 metres, organised so that every room connects directly to outdoor space. No staircase, no second floor: the whole programme is resolved on one level.

The plan divides into three zones. The sleeping wing holds a guest room and a boy's room, each with its own bathroom. The central zone is an open dining and kitchen arrangement, with a separate service kitchen and room to the rear. The living room opens directly onto the shaded front patio, which extends the social space outdoors. A covered porch to the left handles parking and arrival.

The facade is white render with dark stone cladding and horizontal timber louvres across the large sliding windows. The louvres filter harsh light and add texture to what would otherwise be a very flat face. Wide overhanging roof planes shade the paved courtyard through the heat of the day.

The compound is fully walled, with geometric paving running from the gate through the parking court and into the patio. Tropical palms, cypress hedges, and low planting soften the perimeter, keeping the boundary present without feeling heavy.
